Welcome

Plant Talking is an innovative project that began as a collaboration between Indigenous knowledge holders—especially from the Northern Cheyenne Reservation—and a community in Northeast Ohio. Inspired by a life-changing ethnobotanical walk with Linwood Tall Bull, the initiative focuses on sharing the stories and traditional uses of native plants. Core to Plant Talking’s mission are storytelling, experiential learning, and hands-on activities that encourage people to listen to plant wisdom, learn Indigenous cultural perspectives, share this knowledge within their communities, and in doing so learn more about themselves.
