We are Composting!

Our Elders are now composting from their kitchens and bringing the green materials to our compost bin on the patio. Brown material is added to the bin and it is rotated 2-3 times a week. We will remove the soil once compete and use it to replenish our raised beds.

Were Were Growing All Summer Long

Ann, Thomasine, Josie, Angela, and Sullivan have been growing produce in their own raised beds to have fresh vegetables and herbs at their fingertips. They started this spring with well-drained beds filled with rich, loose soil. They selected plants from Graf Growers.  Raised beds also helped prevent weeds and allow better root growth for tasty, homegrown produce. But even with the coverings, a few pest got through the barrier!
