We’ve had a great start to the school year and have been growing and harvesting mint for the past few weeks. Library patrons have enjoyed rubbing the leaves between their hands and taking in the delicious minty scent. Others have harvested a few leaves to take home and enjoy.

One very special patron even took a sprig home along with the cookbook he checked out, planning to incorporate the fresh mint into one of the recipes in the book! It is wonderful to see our little garden inspire patrons to bring a bit of the library’s harvest into their own homes.
